Looking for more great games like AirMech? We’ve fond the best of them for you.
First up, I’ve put together a few lists of games based on AirMech’s themes and mechanics. Let’s take a look.
Games like Airmech by Genre / Theme
RTS: In AirMech you play as something a bit like a transformer, an aircraft that can transform into a robot. When playing in air form you can pick up units, like soldiers, tanks and bikes, and fly them around the arena. MOBA style soldiers enter the arena from your base and will attack the closest enemy HQ. By invading and gaining control of the other buildings around the arena you’ll advance your spawn points to create more units and can also heal your robot. Your overall mission is to eliminate your enemies from the map. Many of the elements of AirMech are taken from the RTS genre. For similar games, see our list of the best RTS games.
Strategy: Many different items are available for purchase using AirMech’s currency, which requires use of microtransactions. You can customise your units using the items you have purchased, and can get bonuses that will help you to rapidly increase your experience points. Different skins and pilots are also abailable, offering minor differences like improved speed. AirMech also contains some extremely powerful weapons which can be used only against the AI enemies. Find more games like Airmech in our comprehensive list below. Most of this is based on the strategy genre. For more games like Airmech, see our list of the best strategy games.
BulletHell: The action part of Airmech is all about bullethell shooting. You avoid tons of firepower and must take down waves of opponent. If you like this aspect of Airmech, see our collection of Bullethell Shooters.

Vector Thrust is a cel-shaded combat flying game with fast paced action and a variety of game modes. What makes the game so intriguing is the sheer love that TimeSymettry seem to have for planes. There’s actually a video of a plane taking off on the developer’s website. I don’t know why it’s there. It’s very random. But it does allude to the developer’s love of airplanes, as do the vast amounts of different fighters in the game. Vector Thrust is literally packed full of different airplanes, all of which is brought to life with beautiful vector artwork and intelligent AI. Meanwhile, dynamic backgrounds keep the environments changing, meaning you never experience the same thing twice. The game features a story campaign, quick action mode and more than 200 different airplanes. . . 200? Yup. 200 fighter planes. That leaves me wondering how many different fighter planes there are in the world (if anyone happens to know, leave the answer in a comment below). But all those planes and the excellent gameplay modes aside, it’s the graphics which are making the game so darned tantalising. They look simply gorgeous, striking a balance between cel-shaded graphics and realism. Feast your eyes […]
