Assassin’s Creed makes an intelligent use of history in telling its story. Desmond finds himself involved in mankind’s longest surviving conspiracy, a conspiracy that involves every individual to have ever come into power.

Through the Subject 16 puzzles, players discover a little bit more about the conspiracy, which turns out to involve world leader, scientists and many other important and influential figures. The conspiracy is a means of controlling humanity.

Though Assassin’s Creed, in terms of gameplay, is fun, in terms of storytelling its deep and complex.
