About Sunset Overdrive

Sunset Overdrive is an open world third person shooter that was made by the excellent video game developer Insomniac Games (definitely one of my favorite game developers). It’s just been released on XBox One and is already one of the best selling games of 2014.

Sunset Overdrive is set in a fictional metropolis in 2027 and has you playing as a customisable FizzCO employee. In Sunset Overdrive you’ll engage in “agile combat” which includes zip lines and acrobatics. Agility is your main skill, and there’s tons of fast paced and stylish action. Games Like Sunset Overdrive

Left 4 Dead 2

Left 4 Dead 2 is largely based around cooperative gameplay and uses Valve’s Source game engine. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world and centres around four survivors who must battle their way through hordes of zombies. There are five campaigns in which the goal is to survive and to escape. The game uses AI Director 2.0, an artificial intelligence engine to create procedurally altered AI that changes depending on the way you play the game.

DayZ

DayZ has you playing in a fictional post-Soviet state known as Chernarus where a virus has caused the people to turn into zombies. You play as one of the survivors and must find water, food, weapons and medicine while avoiding or killing hordes of zombies and choosing to either play co-operatively or competitively against other players as you try to survive the apocalypse.

Corpse Party

Corpse Part is a survival horror adventure that was made by the video games developer Team GrisGris. Corpse Party was followed by remakes “Blood Covered” and “Blood Covered Repeated Fear.”

Despite being made originally way back in 1996, Corpse Party has recently seen a surge in popularity.

State of Decay is an open world survival horror game packed full of zombies. The game was made by video game developer Undead Labs. State of Decay is all about using the resources available to help you to survive. You’ll need to use stealth, resources, evasion and base building to survive the zombies.

Rust is game from independent video game developer Facepunch Studios, who also created the famous Gary’s Mod. The game is based on a combination of Minecraft, DayZ and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Outlast

Outlast is a game in the stealth survival horror genre and was made by video game developer Red Barrels. Outlast features a strong story driven survival campaign told in first person narrative and set in a psychiatric hospital.Visually it is similar to the typical horror movie. You play as a protagonist who cannot fight other than by shoving enemies away. There are no traditional weapons and so your modus operandi is stealth. You’ll need to use the environment intelligently to avoid enemies.

Metro Last Night

Metro Last Night is a horror shooter that will scare the hell out of you. The game features an excellent degree of realism and truly makes you believe that you are a part of the story. The plot is tied in to the story of Metro 2033. This time around, you are quested with finding the remnant Dark One and uncovering many plots and twists about the factions who are vying for control of a military facility. As with Metro 2033, Metro Last Night features a dark and sinister atmosphere designed to scare the hell out of you.

Third person shooter Gears of War is one of the most popular series of games over recent years and received excellent reviews for its innovative take on the shooter genre. Originally released for XBox 360 and later for PC, Gears of War sold over 4 million copies to become one of the most successful games of recent times.

Gears of War uses an over the shoulder perspective in third person to create a game that puts you right into the heart of the action. The cover mechanic is one of the most important parts of the gameplay, allowing you to hide behind various objects and to fire safely.

Alice Madness Returns

Alice Madness Returns is the sequel to the PC game Alice by video game designer American McGee. Released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2011, Alice Madness Returns earned a cult following for its unique game design.

Alice Madness Returns is about Alice Lidell, who went made after her parents and sister were killed in a fire. Madness Returns begins several years after Alice was released from the mental asylum. Alice seeks to return to Wonderland, her refugee, but it has been corrupted by an evil force.

Warframe is a free to play cooperative shooter that plays out in third person perspective. It was created by video game developer Digital Extremes for PC and PS4. The game is free to play but, naturally, there are lots of different items to purchase using the in-game currency.
