Doom is, of course, one of the most well known first person shooters of all time and one of the best. Truly innovative at the time of release, Doom changed the entire gaming landscape. And speaking of changing landscapes, you could destory quite a sizeable chunk of landscape with the Big F***ing Gun, the BFG9000, which would vaporize enemies into a pool of sludge with one shot. Even today, the BFG9000 is one of the best guns in any game ever.
